In 2022 MarkForged looked for a New Zealand engineering business to provide a full service bureau – one which can provide the whole range of service including 3D scanning, CAD design, printing, machining and consultancy. Vortex Group was chosen to be the exclusive bureau for the FX20 product range of production size and speed 3D printing systems.

Items up to 300mm wide x 220mm deep x 180mm high
MetalX gives Vortex 3D the ability to print in steel, as a high speed alternative to conventional milling.

X7
Items up to 330mm wide x 270mm deep x 200mm high
X7 CFR continuous fibre reinforcement, providing high speed printing of high strength parts – as strong as machined aluminium.

FX20
5 times larger print size
Items up to 525mm wide x 400mm high x 400mm high
FX20 provides larger size and faster printing time, of carbon fibre additive manufacture. FX20 operates with high temperature chamber and filaments.
